Revolution is based on land. Land is the basis for all independence. Land is the basis of freedom, justice, and equality.

Message to the Grass Roots

my belly gorges round & brown & red – i am caramel, carmin, rouge, dore, i am noisette, the color of a nut. my belly, full of fresh green peas & water with wild spearmint & garlic scapes, those flowers that shoot upwards from the head buried deep in the ground, escaping the earth into the air, into the sun, to bloom.

is it only in the sun that flowers bloom, that we bloom?

i stop to imagine what flowers are blooming right now, in the dark of my belly, the gooey insides full of raw nutrients & seeds & dirt & mysteries.

i have been in the garden all day, hands in the soil together, singing together, planting together. my back full of sun, heart full of plants, mind full of love, i know i have come home. home to where the queers live, & dream. where we dream & even begin to build the world we need, the one that has been smothered in plastic & gatekept, always always, just beyond our fingertips.

here, the flower petals know us. the bees come for nectar. the fluffy dogs greet us cuz rascals know rascals. we sense each other's energy & welcome each other home. why, how, where else would the beloved rascals live?
